Attention Coaches!!!

The Coaches Corner is here to help you in preparing your practices and being ready for your games. If anyone has suggestions or stumbles on a site that you feel would be useful, send an email to Bill Spies and it will be added to the site.
F License Class
March 7th and 8th, 2008
The Mount Olive Soccer Club will be hosting an "F" License Course.
 
The classes are set for Friday, March 7th for 3 hours (7:00 PM - 10:00 PM) and Saturday, March 8th for 6 hours (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM).  You must complete all 9 hours to receive your F License.  The course will be held at one of the schools in Mount Olive. More detail will follow in the next few weeks.
 
The fee will be $35.00 ($30.00 course fee plus $5.00 facility fee).
 
To reserve a spot for the class,
  1. Via email send your phone number, email address, the name of your soccer club and your address to Jim Farley . (click on his name for e-mail link)
  2. Mail a check payable to MOSC for $35 to
    • Jim Farley
    • 16 Mulligan Drive
    • Flanders, NJ 07836
  3. A class confirmation email will be sent after check received.

Jim Farley will coorespond via e-mail up to the Wednesday before the class.

Afterwards we will need a cell number to contact you for any last minute glitches.

Registration Module Updates
Coaches,
 
In accordance with New Jersey Youth Soccer the registration module now captures all the information required to fill out the New Jersey Kid Safe Form. You have been filling out this form for the last several years. It now will be collected on line and only provided to the State if asked.
 
The Coaches application also includes your agreement to the Coaches Code of Conduct.

United Soccer Academy
Offers Coaching Tips & Drills
The United Soccer Academy has created a new department on their website called the Education Home Page.
 
Our coaches will have access to two curriculums:
  •  Kindergarten - 3rd Grade (can be used for lower ability groups and for fun sessions)
  • 1st through 8th Grade Session Topic & Objectives
The idea is that coaches can choose which one of the nine session topics they want the team to work on each week. Sessions can be repeated as necessary but at least you have flexibility to work on what the players need without being tied down to a curriculum approach.

Annual Coaches Game 2007

The Mount Olive Soccer Club would like to thank Carl Halter for organizing this years coaches game, Mike Pellito for getting the shirts, and all of the participants. This year’s game was used as a fundraiser for the Grossberndt family and raised $500.00 to help them with their medical expenses.
