Full Sided Travel Field

Welcome to Field Maintenance!
What is done?
The major part of field maintenance is to lay out all of our fields (approximately a dozen), along with setting up the nets in the spring season.  We also plant grass and clear the field of debris like rocks, etc. Just so you can get an idea, with a decent crew, each field may take between one and half to three hours depending on the size of the field.

Who does it?
You! Any MOSC coach, parent, child or volunteer.

When do we need help?
The biggest needs for volunteers are:
1) In the beginning of each season
2) In the month of October because of our Halloween Tournament
3) In November for the end of the season breakdown.

We always need assistance during the seasons with lining some of the fields outside of Turkey Brook.  For example, lining of an ITC field takes 20 minutes and can be done while your child is practicing.  Your coach has the combination to unlock the shed to get the liners.

So whether you’re a soccer parent or player who can help us put up some nets or use a liner, to a coach that can help lay out a field and move nets,  please take the time to help your club.

Thanks!

For further information, or to volunteer to help anytime, please contact Chris Newman, the field maintenance coordinator.
