Spring Festival 2006

The Mount Olive Soccer Club’s annual festival was held for Division 5 (3rd – 5th grade) & Division 6 (1st & 2nd grade) on Saturday June 10th, 2006.  The reason behind the festival is to give the club’s instructional program a special day of fun.  Our travel players enjoy special tournaments, and this festival is our way of giving our instructional players the same sense of excitement, with fun as the day’s goal.

Please thank Marty (the Ice Cream Man) for he donated 650 Ice Pops for our children and thanks for the great music provided by one of our own coachs, Marlon Solorzano.

I thank all of the volunteers that helped set up, brought tables and chairs or just helped out in general.  Our club’s board of directors helped throughout the day and was very supportive of the festival, we thank you!  I would also like to thank Cindi Trombley, who put together the face paints; Lawrence Timothy for coordinating the coach’s game, Jim Farley for his work with the USA trainers, Harry Browne for all of his help in many areas, Marty for the Ice Pops and finally a very special thanks goes out to the festival committee (Carl Halter, John Kolacy, Vince Cavaliere, Roger Green, Mike Pellito, Bill Lockwood & Bill Spies) who all did so much to see this event come to happen.

I invite you to get involved for this annual event for next year for your children and for the club.

Chris Newman
Festival Coordinator
